Lucky for me that i'm re-discovering the meaning of the phrase "friends for life". Far too often, people drift in and out, leaving behind nothing more than a dusty imprint in the sands of time. The bonds between us are strong; quite surprising that all this came out of nothing just three months ago :)

And in between my Sun Day withdrawal symptoms, i shall content myself with mini-meetups and gatherings <3 of course, i couldn't possibly discount the daily htht of the LIL club lol.

Things to look forward to (in case i forget lol):

2. Mini cast reunion at engin - Wednesday 1st Apr 2pm (!!!! APRILS FOOL HOW APT)

Sun Day

The monumental, life-changing event of 2009.












These are the people whom i spent three months in close proximity with; we poured our blood, sweat and tears (quite literally) into this production. Didn't matter if they were sri lankan or singaporean or prc, i know for a fact that i had formed a personal connection with all of them. I wouldn't want the cast in any other way.

Working with a professional director has opened my eyes up to the world of theatre. In these three months, i have learnt more from him than i have in my 6years in school productions. Let's just say, thank you CK for believing in my ability enough to push me as hard as you did.

And because of this, i have made the decision to go pro. I'm still going to take a degree in law if i can make it; then im going to audition for every single event out there. Enough of being afraid. It's time.

Treated As Stupid

The problem with having non-close friends on facebook, is that i cannot put the status that im really thinking about.

So now in the privacy of my blog, i would write "Rachel Lee fucking HATES her business school mates".

Why people need to ACT so smart is something that thoroughly escapes me D:

You And Your Big Dreams

It's been more than a month since i last updated.

And in that month, ive been channelling 76% of my energy into drama rehearsals with bits of fun outings in between. I even got myself a facebook account; something i swore not to do but its helluva addictive.

For once, i actually really like my role. It has depth, it has colour, its similar to me but different. And i was praised by a professional dramatist that i had strong emotional intensity. I might even end up in tears in the last scene (not the hysterics or the melodrama; those arent really my type). So can you imagine how excited i was to invite EVERYONE to watch it? To buy tickets from me and meet me after the performance to take photos with. To slot all these happy moments into my memory (and my fb) in rememberance of my first semi-pro production.

K. Then i got the news that stall 1 tickets were all gone and all that were left were the lousy upstairs seats.

This is exactly the kind of shit that makes me clam up and not feel like talking to anyone for days. Dont gawk; this silence does happen once in a while.

So yes, here it is. Im not inviting ANYBODY I KNOW to watch the play. Even though i think it might just be my proudest work to date.
